Tralee Educate Together is one of 81 primary schools in Ireland under the patronage of Educate Together, and the only one in Kerry. Our school opened in 2002 and has grown in size since then. We have firmly established our place in the community - with pupils attending from both Tralee town and from outlying villages and towns. Educate Together schools are: Multi-Denominational - children are introduced to the six major world religions and other belief systems. Equality-Based - our schools guarantee equality of access and esteem to children "irrespective of their social, cultural or religious background" Child-Centred and Learner-Centred Co-Educational Democratically-run - with respectful partnership between parents, pupils and staff. The different strands are represented through the Parents Association, Student Council and Board of Management. Tralee Educate Together works hard to provide an inspiration school for our pupils and one that teaches to the highest standards of education. Educate Together schools are similar to other primary schools, are funded by the Department of Education and teach the same curriculum - with the exception of our Learn Together Programme. That Programme consists of four strands - Belief systems, Ethics and the Environment, Spiritual and Moral, and Equality and Justice. Respect for differences, respect for the environment, respect for self and others is both the taught curriculum and lived experience in our school. We actively promote our pupils to become critical and global thinkers, to be kind, resilient and compassionate. We also want them to be children, to enjoy these precious school years and to have loads and loads of fun! Our motto is "Learn Together to Live Together".
