T...is group was set up many year ago. There was a new committee elected in 2017 but they failed to make any effort or apply for grants to help with maintenance. There was a lack of communication between the committee. As of June 2022 we have come together to elect a new committee. Since then we have cleaned up the Avenue significantly. There is alot more work to be done but we simply cannot do it with no funding. Our lawnmower is broken and it is not fixable. It was left ideal and out in the over the past few years. One of our neighbours is kindly cutting the grass at the moment but will not be able to carry on long term. We have issues with broken curbs, which are very dangerous with the young kids playing.

Milltown Castlemaine GAA Club | Callinafercy Milltown Co. Kerry V93 F884 | Croke Park is home and headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), Ireland’s largest sp...rting organisation. Celebrated as one of the great amateur sporting associations in the world, it is part of the Irish consciousness and plays an influential role in Irish society that extends far beyond the basic aim of promoting Gaelic games. It was founded on November 1st 1884 at a meeting in Thurles, Co. Tipperary, by a group of spirited Irishmen who had the foresight to realise the importance of establishing a national organisation to make athletics more accessible to the masses and to revive and nurture traditional, indigenous sports and pastimes. At that time, it was largely only the gentry and aristocracy who were allowed to participate in athletics. Until then all that was Irish was being steadily eroded by emigration, intense poverty and outside influences. Within six months of that famous first meeting, GAA clubs began to spring up all over Ireland and people began to play the games of Hurling and Gaelic Football and take part in Athletic events with pride

Managed ...trategically by a board of social entrepreneurs, the Hub’s overall aim is to enhance employment opportunities in the region and make the community it serves a ‘better place to live through the creation of employment opportunities.’ The Hub’s purpose-built food production facilities provide start-up entrepreneurs and small but growth-oriented food businesses the opportunity to expand and develop at a rate that would be far more difficult to achieve without easy access to a dedicated and high-quality food-production unit. Since opening in 2016 the Hub’s artisan occupants have quickly built strong relationships with foodservice industry professionals in their key market, the tourism stronghold of Killarney. They have also found the Hub a great location from which to serve retail outlets from Killarney to Tralee (the hub itself being equidistant from the county’s two main market towns.
